Here some tips for the simple past tense! 

Affirmative 

We conjugate the verbs. (It's the same for everybody)

*Regular verbs: just add ED

She worked
He played
They watched

Observe the spelling!!!! 

Verbs with consonant + Y = IED 
Study => Studied
Cry => Cried


*Irregular verbs

They change completely

They go => They went
You buy => You bought

Negative 

We use DIDIN'T or DID not + verb

I didn't eat chocolate.
He didn't play the guitar.

Question

We use Did + Subject + Verb ?

Did you go to the concert?
Did you see her?
